Mentoring for Women: From Starting Over to Stepping Up
I didn’t plan to become a mentor.
Life happened, change was needed to adapt.
After years of change, moving countries, rebuilding, learning about people, going through setbacks (and yes, redundancy more than once), I realised something:
It’s not just about what happens to you.
It’s about how you grow through it.
From a volunteer tutor to a centre manager…
From self-doubt to leading others…
from “What now?” to “Let’s figure this out.”
That journey shaped how I support other women today, through a circle of change we experience: some of us are raising a family, experiencing happiness and grief; making new friendships and losing some. Wanting a new job/career and upskill to provide a better future for yourself and family. You might have experienced challenging situations/people at work, or in personal life, wanting to be a better manager/leader, and improve on assertiveness and saying NO without guilt.
Reach out if you are at the crossroads, wanting to make a change but not sure where and how to begin. I am here when you feel ready to make the first step.

Why Mentoring Matters (Especially When Life Doesn’t Go to Plan)
At some point, many women hit a moment where they think:
- “Is this it?”
- “Have I missed my chance?”
- “Can I really start again?”
- ‘‘Am I good enough?’’*
I’ve asked those questions myself.
Mentoring gives you space to:
- Be honest about where you are
- Rebuild confidence
- See options you didn’t think you had
Because sometimes you don’t need answers, you need someone to help you see clearly again.
How I Approach Mentoring
My style is simple.
I won’t just tell you what you want to hear.
I’ll help you see what you need to see.
- We talk honestly
- We challenge thinking
- We focus on action
Because change doesn’t happen by talking only.
It happens when you do something differently.
The 7 Elements I Believe Every Woman Needs in Mentoring
1. Trust
I know what it feels like to question yourself and your next step. That’s why trust comes first. You need to feel safe to say what’s really going on—without judgement, without pretending. I create a space where you can be honest, even when it’s uncomfortable. Because that’s where real change starts. No filters, just truth.
2. Clear Direction
I’ve been in that place of “What do I do next?”—it’s overwhelming. That’s why we don’t stay stuck in confusion. Together, we get clear on what you actually want (not what others expect from you). We break it down into steps that feel doable, not unrealistic. Clarity brings confidence—and confidence brings action.
3. Listening Properly
Sometimes you don’t need advice—you need to be heard. I listen not just to what you say, but what you’re not saying. The doubts, the hesitation, the fear behind the words. When you feel heard, things start to shift. You begin to understand yourself better.
4. Challenging You (Yes, I Will)
I won’t let you stay in self-doubt if I know you’re capable of more. I’ll ask the questions that make you pause and think differently. Not to push you down—but to lift you up to where you should be. Growth isn’t always comfortable, but it’s necessary. And I’ll be right there while you go through it.
5. Support When It Gets Tough
Let’s be honest—change is hard. There will be days when you doubt everything. I’ve been there. That’s why support matters. I’ll remind you what you’re capable of when you forget. Sometimes you just need someone to say: “Keep going—you’re closer than you think.”
6. Accountability (No Excuses!)
We don’t just talk—we act. Small steps, consistent action. I’ll hold you accountable, but in a supportive way. Not pressure—progress. Because nothing changes if nothing changes. And you didn’t come this far to stay where you are.
7. Growth Mindset
I had to learn this myself—your past doesn’t define your future. You can start again. You can learn new skills. You can change direction. I help you shift from “I can’t” to “Let me try.” And that shift? It changes everything.
Final Thought
I’m not here to fix you.
You’re not broken.
I’m here to help you:
- See your value
- Use your experience
- Take your next step with confidence
Because if I can rebuild, restart, and grow…
So can you!
